Bruma De Ahuachapan — Illamatepec Mountain Range, El Salvador
From the volcanic slopes of the Apaneca–Ilamatepec mountain range in western El Salvador, this refined single-origin coffee is grown in the highland terroir of Ahuachapán at approximately 1,200 meters above sea level. Shaped by mineral-rich volcanic soils, cool mountain air, and steady cloud cover, the region provides an ideal environment for slow cherry maturation and layered flavor development.
This washed process lot is composed of a carefully selected blend of Bourbon Rojo, Pacas, and Cuscatleco varieties—each contributing a distinct dimension to the cup. Bourbon Rojo lends refined sweetness and structure, Pacas enhances clarity and delicate fruit expression, while Cuscatleco adds resilience in cultivation and a subtle complexity in the cup profile.
The result is an elegant and harmonized expression: bright notes of red apple, citrus zest, and ripe stone fruit are interwoven with soft caramel and light cocoa undertones. The washed process brings clarity and precision, allowing each varietal’s character to present itself cleanly while maintaining a unified and balanced profile.
The body is medium and silky, with a polished texture that carries through to a clean, lingering finish of toasted almond and raw sugar sweetness. This is a composed and articulate coffee—an expressive reflection of both varietal craftsmanship and the volcanic highland terroir of Apaneca–Ilamatepec.
